Jordanians are anticipating an official statement from the Prime Ministry in the coming weeks to confirm the date of the public holiday marking the Prophet Muhammad’s day of birth. The holiday is expected to fall on Thursday, September 4th.

Traditionally, the Prime Minister issues a formal decree declaring a day off for government ministries, official departments, public institutions, universities, municipalities, and government-owned companies in observance of this significant religious occasion.

The Prophet Muhammad’s day of birth, known as Mawlid al-Nabi, is celebrated by Muslims worldwide and is recognized as an official holiday in many Islamic countries.
