Jordan police says recorded 217 pedestrian deaths in 2024

03-08-2025 23:55|Jordan's Central Traffic Department announced in its annual report that 4,398 pedestrian-related traffic accidents were recorded in the kingdom in 2024, resulting in 217 deaths.
In a statement, the department noted that these accidents account for 36.8 percent of all human injury-related traffic incidents in Jordan.
The department emphasized that pedestrian accidents are a shared responsibility. The optimal use of pedestrian crossings and bridges, as well as driver awareness and caution, are considered the first line of defense in reducing these incidents.
