"Israeli" army links 16 soldier suicides in 2025 to war trauma
The "Israeli" Public Broadcasting Corporation (Kan) reported on Sunday that the "Israeli" army has acknowledged a link between the rise in suicides among soldiers, including reservists, and the ongoing multi-front war the country is currently engaged in.

An internal military investigation, cited by the broadcaster, found that most recent suicide cases were tied to traumatic experiences soldiers endured, the loss of comrades, and difficulty coping with the psychological aftermath of combat.
The report said the military investigated each suicide case individually, reviewing farewell letters left behind and speaking with the soldiers’ families and friends to understand the circumstances.
A senior military official told Kan: “Most of the suicides among soldiers were a result of the complex reality of the war. War has consequences.”
According to Kan, 16 "Israeli" soldiers, including 7 reservists, have died by suicide since the beginning of 2025.
