Jordan forecast: Summer heat to escalate this week

Jordan is expected to experience typical summer weather across most areas today, Sunday, according to the Meteorological Department.

Conditions will be relatively hot in the Badia region and hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some low clouds are anticipated in the north, with moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally strengthen.

On Monday, temperatures are forecast to rise slightly, making most areas relatively hot. The Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain hot, with moderate northwesterly winds that will occasionally pick up.

Heatwave Peaks Tuesday and Wednesday

A hot air mass will begin to affect the Kingdom on Tuesday, leading to a further rise in temperatures. Readings are expected to be about 4 degrees Celsius above general averages, resulting in hot conditions across most areas and very hot weather in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

The impact of the hot air mass will continue on Wednesday, maintaining hot conditions in most parts of the Kingdom and very hot weather in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with occasional strong winds.
