Jordan army foils drone smuggling attempt

The Jordan Armed Forces' Southern Command, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs into Jordan via a drone early Friday morning – a statement by the JAF said.

Border guards engaged the drone after it was detected and tracked. The drone was successfully shot down within Jordanian territory, and the seized narcotics were transferred to the relevant authorities, the statement added.
