Netanyahu promises Smotrich Gaza war will resume after 60-day truce: Reports
'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly assured Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich that 'Israel' will resume its military campaign against Hamas in Gaza following a proposed 60-day ceasefire agreement currently being negotiated in Doha, according to a report by 'Israel's' Channel 12.
During recent closed-door meetings, Netanyahu is said to have told Smotrich, “After the truce, we will move the population in the Strip to the south and impose a siege on northern Gaza.” The remarks were cited by both Channel 12 and The Times of 'Israel', which reported that Smotrich had demanded guarantees the war would continue in full force once the ceasefire ends.
Netanyahu reportedly presented a plan to separate Gaza’s civilian population from Hamas by concentrating them in a southern corridor, framing it as a humanitarian necessity that would allow 'Israel' to continue military operations after the temporary pause.
