Qassam announces attacks on 'Israeli' command site, tank in Gaza
Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced on Sunday that its fighters carried out two separate attacks against 'Israeli' forces in the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
In a statement, the group said its fighters targeted an 'Israeli' command-and-control site in the Qeizan al-Najjar area, south of Khan Younis city, with mortar shells on Saturday afternoon.
In a second operation, Qassam said its fighters struck an 'Israeli' tank with a powerful improvised explosive device (IED) east of al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southern Gaza City.
The group claimed that its members observed an 'Israeli' helicopter landing to evacuate what it described as casualties following the blast.
