Saudi Arabia to ease land border return for Jordanians from Gulf states
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has been closely monitoring feedback from Jordanian citizens living in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries regarding the facilitation of their land return to Jordan through Saudi Arabia for summer vacations.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, confirmed that Jordan contacted the relevant Saudi authorities, who promptly responded. Starting this morning, Saudi Arabia began issuing electronic transit visas to Jordanians through its dedicated online platform.
Ambassador Al-Qudah expressed Jordan’s sincere gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its swift cooperation. He added that Saudi authorities will also issue similar electronic transit visas to Jordanians returning to Gulf states after their holidays, using the same online system.
