Jordan’s Meteorological Department forecasted a gradual retreat of the current heatwave starting Sunday, with temperatures expected to begin a steady decline and more typical summer conditions returning to most regions. However, hot weather will persist in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

On Sunday, daytime weather will be relatively hot in the highlands and plains, and hot in the Badia, Jordan Valley, and Aqaba, while nighttime conditions will be generally mild across most areas, except for Aqaba, where it will remain relatively warm.

Northwesterly winds are expected to be occasionally active, and authorities warned of reduced visibility due to dust in desert regions.

The Meteorological Department also advised avoiding direct sun exposure during peak hours, especially in hotter areas such as the Jordan Valley, Badia, and Aqaba.

A slight temperature drop is expected to continue into Monday, with relatively hot weather prevailing in most areas, and hotter conditions persisting in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Nighttime weather will remain mild, accompanied by active northwesterly winds and ongoing dust risks in desert areas.

Further gradual cooling is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. Conditions will turn into mild, typical summer weather across much of the country, though the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will continue to experience hot temperatures.

Nighttime weather throughout the week will remain moderate in most parts of the Kingdom, with moderate northwesterly winds picking up in the afternoon.
