"Israeli" navy kidnaps Lebanese fisherman: Reports

A Lebanese fisherman was abducted on Tuesday after "Israeli" naval forces surrounded his boat within Lebanon’s territorial waters near the southern town of Naqoura, according to a security source speaking to Al Jazeera.

The source said that four "Israeli" gunboats carried out the operation, intercepting the fishing vessel and taking one of its crew members. The man has been identified in local media reports as Ali Fneish, a resident of the town of Ma’roub in southern Lebanon.

A photo circulating on Lebanese outlets shows Fneish aboard his boat shortly before he was reportedly taken to "Israeli"-held territory.
