VIDEO: Missile of unknown origin lands in southern Jordan
A missile of unknown origin landed in Jordan’s southern Ma'an Governorate on Tuesday evening, according to a statement from a military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army.
The rocket fell in a desert area and caused no injuries or material damage. Authorities have not yet identified its source.
Security forces quickly cordoned off the area, and a Royal Engineering Corps team was dispatched to handle the rocket remnants to ensure the safety of nearby residents.
Investigations have been launched to determine the rocket’s origin and the circumstances of the incident.
The source urged the public not to spread rumors or misinformation that could incite fear, and stressed the importance of relying on official sources for updates.
