'Israeli' negotiators including Witkoff arrive in Doha after meeting captives' families
US President Donald Trump’s envoys, Steve Witkoff and Adam Buehler, along with an 'Israeli' delegation, landed in Doha on Tuesday to continue negotiations over a potential deal, following a meeting with captives families in 'Israel'.
The envoys met with relatives of the captives shortly before their departure, in a two-hour closed-door session that took place less than a day after the release of Edan Alexander. According to participants, Witkoff emphasized that bringing home the captives remains a personal mission for President Trump and pledged that the US team would not rest “until the last one returns.”
The Trump delegation's arrival in Doha signals the next stage in the high-stakes negotiations, which have stalled repeatedly in recent months. Talks are expected to resume with Qatari, Egyptian, and 'Israeli' representatives.
