Netanyahu, Trump call freed captive Edan Alexander

"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump held a phone call on Monday with Edan Alexander, a dual US-"Israeli" citizen who was freed by Hamas.

Alexander, who was transferred to "Israeli"-controlled territory via the Red Cross, is currently undergoing medical evaluations at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. The call was facilitated through US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff’s phone.

Netanyahu thanked Trump for what he described as a key role in securing Alexander’s release, and emphasized ongoing joint efforts to bring home others still held in captivity.

“Edan’s return inspires many, and we are committed to working with President Trump to ensure the return of all the captives,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
