Jordanian PM Jafar Hassan meets with Palestinian VP Hussein Sheikh

Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan received Palestinian Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh on Sunday during an official visit that focused on the latest developments on the Palestinian front and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Jordan’s unwavering position, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in supporting the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Hassan emphasized that ensuring Palestinians remain on their land in the face of displacement and settlement expansion is at the heart of Jordan’s national efforts and remains a central priority in supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

For his part, Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh expressed his appreciation for Jordan’s historic positions under the leadership of His Majesty the King and its continued efforts to defend Palestinian rights in regional and international forums. He also affirmed the deep fraternal ties between the two countries.
