Several regions of Jordan are experiencing unstable weather on Sunday, accompanied by rainfall, thunderstorms, and active winds, which have affected visibility in some areas, according to local sources.

In the northeastern desert area of Ruweished, rain began falling, accompanied by thunderstorms and winds, while a dust storm formed due to the downward winds linked to passing thundercloud cells. This caused a noticeable decrease in visibility, as reported by the Jordan Meteorological Department.

In the southern part of the country, the Ma'an governorate, specifically in the Madaba region, witnessed rainfall. In Aqaba, a thunderstorm with strong winds led to a significant reduction in horizontal visibility, dropping to as low as 100 meters, with periods of near-total visibility loss.

Karak also saw heavy rains and rising water levels, as captured by local news outlets. Areas such as Wadi Musa, Petra, and parts of Ma'an governorate received substantial rainfall.

Wadi Rum experienced heavy rain, leading to an increase in water levels. In the Quweira area near Aqaba, rain showers are currently falling, urging drivers to exercise caution, especially on external roads.

Authorities have advised citizens to stay updated on weather conditions and exercise caution to avoid potential risks due to these fluctuating weather patterns.
