Jordan condemns "Israeli" strike near Damascus presidential palace

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the Israeli Occupation’s strike targeting the vicinity of the presidential palace in Damascus, calling it a blatant violation of international law, a flagrant breach of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a dangerous escalation that will only fuel further conflict and tension in the region.

The Ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Sufyan Qudah, reaffirmed Jordan’s absolute rejection and strong condemnation of "Israel’s" continued airstrikes and assaults on Syrian territory, describing them as a clear violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between "Israel" and Syria, and a direct assault on the sovereignty of an Arab state. He reiterated the Kingdom’s firm stance in solidarity with Syria, supporting its security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Ambassador Qudah called on the international community to shoulder its legal and moral responsibilities and to compel the Israeli Occupation to halt its provocative and unlawful attacks on Syria and end its occupation of parts of Syrian land.
