Cooler conditions, scattered showers expected Sunday in Jordan
Jordan’s Meteorological Department (JMD) forecasts mild weather for most parts of the Kingdom on Saturday, while warmer conditions are expected in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Variable cloud cover is expected throughout the day, with moderate westerly winds prevailing.
During the night, temperatures will dip slightly, bringing relatively cool conditions to most regions, while the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain mild. Northwesterly winds may become active in the Badia (desert) regions, potentially stirring up dust.
Sunday: Slight Drop in Temperatures, Local Rain Showers Expected
Temperatures are forecast to drop slightly on Sunday, with pleasant conditions across most areas and warmer weather continuing in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
By midday, Jordan will begin to experience a weak state of atmospheric instability, leading to scattered local showers, particularly in the southern and eastern regions—including Aqaba—which may be accompanied by thunderstorms at times.
Northwesterly winds are expected to pick up in the afternoon, possibly causing dust in desert areas. At night, the chance for light, scattered rain remains in the south and east, with relatively cool conditions across most parts of the Kingdom.
Monday: Continued Mild Weather, Light Rain Possible
Another slight drop in temperatures is expected on Monday. The weather will remain pleasant in most areas and warm in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. There is a low chance of light rain in limited parts of the western regions.
Northwesterly winds will be moderate, occasionally active in the afternoon, raising dust in desert regions. Nighttime conditions will be relatively cool in most areas, with mild weather in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, alongside some medium and high cloud cover.
Tuesday: Warmer Conditions, Mostly Mild
Temperatures will rise slightly on Tuesday, bringing mild weather to most regions. The Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will see relatively hot conditions. High-altitude clouds are expected.
At night, the weather will be mild across most areas and warm in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds will remain moderate.
