Three indicted individuals linked to Islamic Action Front, says election commission chief

The Chairman of the Independent Election Commission (IEC), Musa Al-Maaytah, confirmed that three of the individuals named in the indictment and referred to the State Security Court are members of the Islamic Action Front (IAF) Party; however, he clarified, they are not members of parliament.

In an interview with Roya on Wednesday, Maaytah added that legal measures will be taken if it is confirmed that the IAF is linked to the cell that was apprehended, or if they had prior knowledge of it.

He pointed out that it is the Court of First Instance that makes decisions, not the IEC, stressing that the law will be applied.
