"Tell them to come home," US embassy urges Jordanians with relatives in US illegally
The United States Embassy in Jordan has made a direct appeal to Jordanian citizens with family or friends residing illegally in the US, urging them to encourage their loved ones to return to Jordan.
In a statement posted across its official platforms, the embassy said, “If you have family or friends who are in the United States illegally, now is the time to tell them to come home.”

This public statement comes amid growing concerns over the US government's strict immigration enforcement policies. The embassy's message, which was posted on social media and shared widely, highlights the urgency for individuals who are unlawfully in the US to leave voluntarily before they face potential legal repercussions, including deportation.
Since his reinstatement as President of the US, Donald Trump has imposed some of the most stringent and widespread crackdowns on immigration the country has seen in recent years. His administration has taken a hardline approach to migrants, with sweeping measures aimed at curbing illegal immigration and reinforcing national security.
One of the most notable aspects of Trump's second term has been the increased focus on deportations. Thousands of individuals who are living in the U.S. without legal documentation have been targeted, with many facing swift removal from the country. The administration has emphasized that there will be no leniency, aiming to send a strong message about the need for compliance with US immigration laws.
