Jordan’s Media Commission enforces legal action against “Muslim Brotherhood” content

Jordan’s Media Commission announced Wednesday that legal measures will be taken against any individual publishing content related to the “so-called dissolved Muslim Brotherhood” – per a statement.

The commission said “legal action will be taken to prohibit any publication, broadcasting, republication, or retransmission, as well as any form of dealings with the so-called dissolved Muslim Brotherhood."

The Cybercrime Unit in Jordan also issued a warning to social media users not to publish or promote banned or unlicensed organizations, including the “so-called dissolved Muslim Brotherhood, in accordance with the law” – it said in a statement.

It said “there will be no leniency in enforcing the law, and legal action will be taken against violators under the Cybercrime Law and the Jordanian Penal Code,” urging social media users to fully comply with the laws, and not publish anything related to such groups.
