King Abdullah II offers condolences on passing of Pope Francis
His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday extended his deepest condolences to Christians around the world following the passing of Pope Francis.
In a statement, King Abdullah described the Pope as “the Pope of the People,” admired globally for his humility, compassion, and efforts to unite people of all faiths.
“Pope Francis was admired by all as the Pope of the People. He brought people together, leading with kindness, humility, and compassion. His legacy will live on in his good deeds and teachings,” the King said.
King Abdullah has long praised interfaith dialogue and has maintained strong ties with the Vatican throughout his reign.
