20-year-old shot dead in Amman during family dispute

A man in his twenties was shot and killed during a dispute that broke out Sunday evening in the neighborhoods of Amman.

The victim was taken to AlBashir Hospital for treatment, but died shortly after due to his injuries.

In a later statement, the Public Security Directorate said the dispute stemmed from family-related tensions involving kinship ties. During the altercation, one individual opened fire, fatally wounding the young man.

Police have arrested the shooter and seized the weapon used. An investigation is underway.
