"Israeli" drone strike in Sidon assassinates Hamas official, family
In a significant escalation of violence, the city of Sidon in Lebanon was the scene of an assassination at dawn on Friday, targeting Hassan Farhat, a senior Hamas figure. The attack resulted in multiple casualties, including civilians.
At approximately 3:20 AM, an Israeli Occupation drone launched a strike on a residential apartment in the Al-Zuhour neighborhood, located behind the Dalla'a General Hospital parking lot. The assault triggered two powerful explosions, igniting fires within the apartment and causing extensive damage to the building and surrounding areas.
Firefighting and ambulance teams, alongside residents awakened by the blasts, quickly rushed to the scene, where they recovered three bodies from beneath the rubble.
Reports indicate that the airstrike resulted in the deaths of Hassan Farhat and his two children, who were asleep in the apartment at the time of the attack.
The assault destroyed the fourth floor of a seven-story residential building and caused severe damage to nearby properties and vehicles.
