02-04-2025 12:15|Israeli Occupation’s political leadership has decided to cancel its plan to allow Druze workers from Syria to enter the occupied Golan Heights, according to Hebrew media reports on Wednesday.
The decision comes after the 'Israeli' government had considered permitting a number of Syrian Druze workers to enter the Golan for employment in various sectors under new economic arrangements. However, the plan was abandoned without explanation.
Thousands of Druze residents in the Golan Heights still hold Syrian identity amid ongoing political tensions over their legal and social status, as 'Israel' has occupied the territory since 1967.
