Syria experiences nationwide power outage

Syria experienced a complete power outage across the country on Tuesday evening due to a technical failure in the electrical system, according to the Public Establishment for Transmission and Distribution.

The General Director of the corporation stated that technical teams are actively working to repair the faults and restore electricity as quickly as possible.

The nation has been grappling with a severe electricity crisis, exacerbated by extensive damage to infrastructure from over 14 years of conflict. Additionally, international sanctions have impeded essential maintenance and development efforts.

The electricity sector remains one of the most significant challenges for Syria as it strives to rebuild its economy and improve living conditions for its citizens.
