Houthis continue targeting US warships in Red Sea

Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement, announced that Houthi forces have targeted US warships in the Red Sea, including the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, using cruise missiles and drones.

According to Saree, clashes are ongoing as of the time of the statement, which marks the third such announcement in the past 24 hours.

The statement further asserted that military operations against US forces in the designated combat zone will continue to escalate, specifically targeting American warships.

The Houthis also linked these attacks to their broader campaign against Israeli Occupation, stating that their objective is to disrupt navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea while targeting 'Israeli' military and strategic sites.

The group emphasized that these operations aim to stop what they described as the "genocide" against Palestinians in Gaza, adding that their attacks will persist until the offensive ceases and the blockade on the Gaza Strip is lifted.
