Thirty-one killed in 'Israeli' airstrikes across Gaza since early morning
At least 31 people have been killed in a series of 'Israeli' airstrikes targeting multiple areas across Gaza since early this morning, according to local media reports.
One of the airstrikes on Sunday killed a member of Hamas's political bureau while he was receiving treatment in a hospital. 'Israeli' officials confirmed the strike, claiming they targeted "a key terrorist."
The death toll in Gaza has now surpassed 50,000 since the 'Israeli' assault began in October 2023, according to health authorities in Gaza. The ongoing airstrikes and ground operations continue to devastate the region, with thousands still trapped under rubble.
Medical officials warn that the true death toll could be higher, as many bodies remain unrecovered due to ongoing bombardment and limited access to affected areas. The humanitarian crisis is worsening, with hospitals overwhelmed, food supplies dwindling, and over a million people displaced.
Calls for a ceasefire have grown louder internationally, but no resolution has been reached.
