Illegal street race claims life of pedestrian in Amman

A pedestrian lost his life Sunday after two drivers engaged in an illegal street race, and exceeded the speed limit by more than 50 km/h.

The two vehicles collided, which led to a stray vehicle hitting the pedestrian and later succumbing to their injuries at the hospital.

Authorities apprehended the violators and took legal action against them following the incident which took place on University Street in Amman.
