A joint press conference has begun, featuring key regional leaders following a summit between Syria and its neighboring countries.

The event highlights an important step in strengthening international relations and regional collaboration.

The press conference includes a distinguished lineup of foreign ministers: Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan; Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq; Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey; Asad Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria; and Yousef Rahi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon.

- Jordan -

Jordan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, highlighted the unified stance of Syria’s neighboring countries in combating terrorism. He stressed the importance of regional cooperation to prevent drug and weapons smuggling, emphasizing its impact on security.

He also emphasized the collective agreement to support Syria in its transition. “The meeting underscored the necessity of supporting Syria during its transitional phase,” Safadi stated.

He further highlighted the unified stance of the neighboring countries in addressing critical issues. "There was a consensus among the neighboring countries to support Syria in its rebuilding efforts, as well as in the fight against Daesh and drug trafficking," he added.

"We have reinforced our unified position in the fight against terrorism, especially Daesh," he said.

In closing, he confirmed the neighboring countries' agreement to tackle the issue of drug smuggling from Syria. "As neighboring countries, we agreed to fight against the smuggling of drugs from Syria," Safadi concluded.

The meeting emphasized the importance of Syria’s security and stability, with Safadi noting, “The security and stability of Syria is our collective security and stability.”

- Turkey -

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan addressed critical issues discussed with foreign ministers from Syria and neighboring countries. He emphasized the importance of regional coordination in combating terrorism and ensuring the stability of the region.

Fidan revealed that one of the central topics of discussion was the ongoing fight against terrorism, with a specific focus on Daesh. He highlighted that the countries are coordinating efforts to exchange intelligence on counterterrorism activities, which is vital for effective action against the terrorist group.

Additionally, Fidan confirmed that the ministers discussed providing support to the Syrian government, particularly in light of the country's efforts to regain stability after years of conflict. He stressed that international cooperation is essential in rebuilding Syria and addressing the broader regional security challenges.

- Syria - 

Syrian Foreign Minister Asad Shaibani expressed his gratitude to the countries participating in the meeting of Syria and its neighboring nations. He thanked the regional leaders for their continued support and efforts to foster cooperation in addressing the challenges facing the region.

Shaibani also extended his thanks to Jordan for hosting the crucial summit, which brought together foreign ministers from Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, and Lebanon. The meeting marked a significant step toward strengthening ties and building a united front in tackling pressing issues, such as security and regional stability.

In his remarks, Shaibani stressed the importance of economic and investment cooperation between Syria and its neighbors. He called for a concerted effort to enhance trade, investment, and infrastructure development, noting that such cooperation is essential for the long-term prosperity and stability of the region.

- Iraq - 

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein addressed the ongoing challenges posed by Daesh, emphasizing the continued suffering his country faces due to the group's actions. Hussein highlighted that Iraq has endured significant hardships from Daesh and is still grappling with its repercussions.

- Lebanon - 

The Lebanese Foreign Minister stressed that Syria's stability is vital for Lebanon's stability, noting that there are several issues that need to be addressed, such as border demarcation and arms smuggling.
