Jordanian army thwarts drone-smuggling attempt on southern border

The Jordanian Southern Command thwarted an attempted smuggling operation early Monday, intercepting a drone carrying narcotics, a small UAV, and remote control devices.

Border guards, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, detected and tracked a drone attempting to cross the border.

The forces engaged according to the rules of engagement, successfully intercepting and downing the drone inside Jordanian territory. The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities – the statement by the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) said.
