Hamas condemns "Israeli" decision to cut electricity to Gaza
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) strongly condemns the "Israeli" decision to cut off electricity to Gaza, following the deprivation of food, medicine, and water.
This move is seen as a desperate attempt to pressure the Palestinian people and their resistance through a policy of unacceptable extortion.
Cutting off electricity, closing crossings, halting aid, fuel, and deliberately starving the population amounts to collective punishment and a war crime.
These actions by the Israeli Occupation are a blatant violation of signed agreements and disregard for international humanitarian laws. This further confirms that the occupation does not honor its commitments.
The movement stated that Prime Minister Netanyahu is attempting to disrupt the internationally witnessed agreement, trying to impose a new roadmap that serves his personal interests at the expense of Palestinian detainees' lives, ignoring the demands of their families.
Hamas warns the Israeli Occupation to stop these crimes, asserting that the Palestinian people and their resistance will not bow to pressure. They will continue to resist until they achieve freedom and victory.
Hamas added that there is no path forward other than adhering to the agreement's terms and beginning the second phase of negotiations. Any attempt to delay is a waste of time and manipulation of the prisoners' fate.
