Jordan attends ministerial meetings in Saudi Arabia on regional developments
Jordan will participate in intensive ministerial meetings hosted by Saudi Arabia on Thursday, bringing together foreign ministers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, along with their counterparts from Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and Morocco.
The main goal of these discussions is to address current regional and international developments and strengthen joint cooperation.

The meetings will focus on enhancing strategic relations between the GCC and these countries, expanding cooperation across various sectors, and exchanging views on mutual regional and global issues.
Key topics on the agenda include boosting collaborative efforts to achieve shared goals and continuing consultations to improve security and stability in the region.
Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Badr Abdel-Aty, Syria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Asaad Shabani, and Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, will attend the meetings.
These discussions are taking place on the sidelines of the 163rd GCC Ministerial Council meeting, chaired by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, the current chair of the council.
Alongside the bilateral meetings, the GCC Ministerial Council will review the implementation of decisions made at the 45th Gulf Summit in Kuwait in December 2024, discuss reports from ministerial and technical committees, and assess developments in GCC relations with international blocs and the latest regional and global issues.
