Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Tuesday, discussing bilateral ties and regional developments.

During the meeting at the Presidential Complex, the Crown Prince conveyed greetings from King Abdullah II and extended an invitation for President Erdogan to visit Jordan. He reaffirmed Jordan's commitment to strengthening relations with Turkey across various sectors, including economy, education, tourism, vocational training, military cooperation, and counterterrorism efforts.

Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining coordination on regional issues and enhancing stability in the region. Discussions also covered the escalating situation in the West Bank and repeated attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

They both highlighted their shared stance on the Palestinian cause, stressing the need for immediate reconstruction in Gaza without displacing its residents. They also underscored the necessity of intensifying diplomatic efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution.

Crown Prince Hussein commended Turkey’s humanitarian efforts in Gaza and its support for UNRWA, reiterating Jordan’s commitment to facilitating the delivery of Turkish aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.

Regarding Syria, both sides expressed support for its security, stability, and territorial integrity, as well as the efforts of Syria’s new administration in reconstruction.

The meeting was attended by Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
