Weather update: Slight rise in temperatures, freezing nights persist

The Jordanian Meteorological Department (JMD) reported on the latest weather updates in Jordan through next Friday, indicating fluctuations in temperatures and cold conditions, with warnings of frost.

It stated that a slight rise in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, but the weather will remain very cold in most areas and relatively cold in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some high clouds will appear, and winds will be moderate southeasterly. The cold will intensify at night, and the department warned of the risk of frost and ice formation in the early morning hours.

On Wednesday, another slight increase in temperatures is expected, but they will remain below the seasonal average, with cold weather prevailing in most areas. Winds will be moderate northeasterly to northwesterly, with the possibility of frost forming at night in high mountain areas and the desert.

On Thursday, temperatures will continue to rise gradually, reaching around their seasonal average. The weather will be cold in the highlands and plains and slightly warm in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba. Winds will be light easterly, and the risk of morning frost will persist in high-altitude areas and parts of the desert.

On Friday, cold weather will persist in the highlands and plains, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience slightly warm conditions. Clouds are expected to appear at various altitudes in northern and central Jordan, with light southeasterly winds shifting to southwesterly in the evening.
