Roya reporters monitored the road conditions in Jordan's governorates, coinciding with the significant drop in temperatures and the formation of frost in some areas.

Reporters stated that some streets in the capital, Amman, experienced traffic congestion coinciding with official working hours at 10 AM.

The traffic crisis continued in the capital's streets alongside the working hours of employees and schools, as Roya captured the severe congestion in the streets.

For its part, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced the reopening of all roads and bridges that had been closed as a precaution after being inspected by traffic personnel and confirmed to pose no danger to users' safety.

The government had decided to delay working hours until ten in the morning, anticipating the possibility of freezing.

In Amman, reporters noted that all roads were clear and there was no frost, and all bridges that had been closed overnight were reopened to prevent freezing.

Roya's reporter in Tafilah stated that there was a freezing condition in the southern part of the governorate and extremely cold weather, but the roads were clear with no freezing conditions.

Meanwhile, Roya's reporter in Ma'an confirmed that all roads in the governorate were clear and there were no freeze conditions, noting the low temperatures and severe cold.

The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) announced the closure of 10 bridges to vehicle traffic starting at 11 PM until Monday morning due to the expected freezing conditions on the roads.

The GAM's spokesperson, Nasser Al-Rahamneh, told Roya that this measure aims to ensure public safety and avoid accidents that may arise from slips on icy roads.

Rahamneh urged citizens to exercise caution and adhere to the guidelines issued by the relevant authorities during this period.

He noted that citizens could contact the municipality for inquiries or to report any emergencies by calling 102.
