Jordan reaffirms support for Yemen’s internationally recognized government

Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi met with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi today on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

Safadi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II to the Yemeni leader.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and discussing regional developments.

Safadi reaffirmed Jordan’s steadfast support for Yemen’s internationally recognized government, as well as its security and stability, stressing the need to resolve the crisis based on established references to safeguard Yemen’s sovereignty.

For his part, President Al-Alimi extended his greetings to King Abdullah and emphasized the strong ties between Yemen and Jordan, highlighting the importance of continued coordination between the two nations.
