Hamas called Thursday for an urgent Arab Summit over the recent Gaza plan by Trump to take over the Strip and relocate Palestinians.

Spokesperson Hazem Qassem said the movement firmly rejects US President Donald Trump’s recent statements on Gaza, emphasizing that its people will not abandon it.

"Trump’s remarks are completely unacceptable," Qassem said. "Gaza is for its people, and they will not leave."

He called for an urgent Arab summit to confront what he described as a forced displacement plan, warning that Trump’s comments about US administration control over Gaza amount to an explicit intention to occupy the territory.

"We do not need any foreign country to govern Gaza, nor will we accept replacing one occupation with another," Qassem added.

He stressed that rejecting Trump's proposal is not enough, urging Palestinian factions to unite against any forced displacement efforts.
