Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said Thursday in a statement that “Palestine—its land, history, and holy sites—is not for sale and is not an investment project,” emphasizing that the rights of the Palestinian people are non-negotiable and not a bargaining chip.

“The Palestinian people, who have made great sacrifices to defend their legitimate national rights and preserve their independent decision-making, represented by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) as the sole legitimate representative, will not relinquish an inch of their land—whether in Gaza or the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine,” the statement said.

He stressed that neither the Palestinian leadership nor its people will allow a repeat of the 1948 and 1967 displacements and will thwart any attempts to eliminate the Palestinian cause under the guise of investment projects.

Abu Rudeineh pointed out that international and Arab responses to US proposals for Palestinian displacement have demonstrated a unified stance grounded in international law and legitimacy, while the US administration stands alone with a different approach.

He also noted that voices within the US Congress and even in “Israel” have dismissed such plans as unfeasible.

The Palestinian Presidency rejected any alternative solutions imposed from “any other place or any other person”.
