“Israel” army says two soldiers dead in West Bank shooting
The “Israeli” army said two soldiers were killed in a shooting on a military post in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday.
Six other soldiers were lightly wounded when the shooter “fired at the soldiers at a military post in Tayasir" in the northern West Bank, the statement said.
The shooter infiltrated the Taysir checkpoint, near the Palestinian village of Taysir in the governorate of Tubas, undetected overnight, and opened fire at dawn.
He was armed with an M-16 assault rifle and two magazines, in addition to wearing a tactical vest; he was neutralized later on.
