Palestinian Authority says created committee to manage Gaza affairs

Palestinian and the Palestinian National Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa announced Tuesday the creation of a “working committee” to oversee the Gaza Strip affairs.

In remarks during the weekly cabinet meeting, Mustafa said the committee aims to reaffirm the unity of Palestinian territories and the government’s commitment to national cohesion.

The news comes amid the years-long tension, which has escalated during the last 15 months, between Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, over the administration of the Gaza Strip during the “Israeli” aggression.
