Syrian president Ahmed Sharaa performs Umrah in Mecca

Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa has arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, before heading to Mecca to perform Umrah. He was accompanied by Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaybani.

Upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Sharaa was welcomed by Prince Saud bin Mishaal, the deputy governor of the Mecca region.

This visit follows the conclusion of President Sharaa’s first trip to Riyadh on Monday, where he met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
