Jordanian Minister of Labor Khaled Al-Bakar met with Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmad Al-Rajhi in Riyadh to discuss employment opportunities for Jordanians in Saudi Arabia’s private sector.

The meeting took place ahead of the Second International Labor Market Conference, which is being held today under the patronage of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz in the Saudi capital.

The discussions, attended by Jordan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dr. Haitham Abu Al-Foul, focused on exchanging expertise in labor affairs, vocational and technical training, and promoting Jordanian talent for employment in Saudi Arabia’s private sector.

Both ministers emphasized that these efforts align with the political will of the leaderships of both nations, led by Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah, and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Al-Bakar and Al-Rajhi underscored the strong ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia and stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in labor affairs and knowledge exchange.

Al-Bakar highlighted the diversity of Jordanian expertise across various sectors, which could benefit the Saudi labor market.

He also emphasized the significance of vocational training and youth qualification programs to prepare them for employment.

Al-Rajhi praised the strong reputation of Jordanian professionals across multiple fields, noting that the conference aims to address challenges facing the labor market, share global expertise, and discuss the impact of rapid technological advancements on job opportunities worldwide.
