"Israeli" police arrests 12 over Hamas celebration
The "Israeli" police arrested 12 over Hamas celebration for releasing Palestinian political prisoners in East Jerusalem last night - according to "The Times of Israel".
The arrest was on suspicion of participating in a pro-Hamas demonstration celebrating the release of Palestinian political prisoners freed under the Gaza prisoners exchange-ceasefire deal.
A statement issued by the police spokesperson on X read:
"A few days ago, after footage circulated on social media showing individuals at a celebration where Hamas flags were raised and gunfire was fired into the air, security forces arrested 12 individuals from Jerusalem.

The statement further noted that during the search, Hamas flags, banners, fireworks, a pellet gun, and large sums of money were seized, along with the vehicle used in the celebration, which was confiscated by the authorities.
