Minister of Labor Khaled Al-Bakaar revealed during a parliamentary session on Wednesday that the number of foreign workers in Jordan stands at approximately 288,000.
Responding to a parliamentary inquiry, Al-Bakaar stated that the figure includes foreign workers holding valid work permits issued by the ministry.
He also noted that around 53,000 foreign workers have expired permits that have not been renewed since 2021.
