Man killed in Karak following stabbing incident

An Arab national was fatally stabbed in Karak on Tuesday due to a prior dispute, according to a statement by the Public Security Directorate spokesperson.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in Karak after being attacked but succumbed to his injuries.

The spokesperson revealed that the assailant fled the scene after the attack. Authorities identified the suspect and formed a joint investigation team from the Criminal Investigation Department and Karak Police Directorate to track him down.

On Wednesday evening, the suspect was apprehended, and the weapon used in the crime was seized. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the stabbing, citing ongoing disputes and a legal case involving the victim and others.

The suspect has been referred to the Public Prosecutor of the Grand Felonies Court for further legal proceedings.
