Palestine ambassador lauds King Abdullah's humanitarian aid initiative

The Palestinian Ambassador to Jordan, Atallah Khairi, expressed deep gratitude for His Majesty King Abdullah II’s initiative to send the largest Jordanian humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip.

In a press statement, Ambassador Khairi highlighted the King's personal supervision of the 120-truck convoy carrying various forms of aid from the Ghabawi region to Gaza via the King Hussein Bridge.

He emphasized that this reflects King Abdullah’s unwavering and principled stance in support of the Palestinian people and their rights, particularly during these challenging times.

Khairi noted the significance of this initiative in showcasing King Abdullah’s regional and international stature. He commended the Jordanian royal, governmental, and public efforts in supporting the Palestinian people since the onset of “Israeli” aggression, which he said were directly guided by the King.

He highlighted Jordan’s pivotal role in international forums, including the United Nations General Assembly, the Security Council, and the International Court of Justice and International Criminal Court.

Ambassador Khairi lauded the royal initiative of air-dropping aid into Gaza and the leadership of King Abdullah, Crown Prince Hussein, and Princess Salma in personally piloting Royal Jordanian Air Force planes carrying humanitarian supplies.

He acknowledged the immense value of Jordan's continued support in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people and combating injustice, specifically recognizing the role of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) in delivering aid to Gaza.

In his closing remarks, the ambassador praised Jordan’s comprehensive efforts, from delivering aid to engaging in political, diplomatic, and legal battles in defense of the Palestinian cause. He also commended Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi’s leadership in countering the Israeli occupation’s policies.

Ambassador Khairi reaffirmed the unbreakable bond between the Jordanian and Palestinian peoples, describing their relationship as historic, vital, and unshakable – per the statement.
