Kremlin watching Gaza truce progress with 'cautious optimism'

The Kremlin said Wednesday it was watching progress towards a ceasefire in Gaza with "cautious optimism", adding that a truce between Israeli Occupation and Hamas in the Palestinian territory was "extremely" necessary, according to AFP.

"It can only be viewed with cautious optimism," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said of steps towards a ceasefire deal. "A ceasefire is something that is extremely necessary for the people of Gaza."
