Nawaf Salam emphasizes priority to focus on addressing "Israeli" aggression aftermath

Lebanon's newly appointed Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, stated that addressing the repercussions of the recent aggression is one of the primary challenges facing the Lebanese government today.

Salam emphasized the importance of asserting the authority of the Lebanese state across its entire territory through its own forces.

Salam highlighted the need to implement UN Resolution 1701 and called for the withdrawal of enemy forces from Lebanese land, urging the start of a new chapter centered on justice, security, progress, and opportunity.

He reaffirmed his commitment to developing a comprehensive and sustainable economic program that fosters growth for all segments of society, stressing that the key to success lies in the unity and cooperation of the Lebanese people to build strong institutions capable of tackling current challenges.

Salam emphasized his commitment to ensuring that no citizen feels marginalized, underlining the importance of justice and equality for all Lebanese citizens.

He stated that he would begin working immediately in full cooperation with the President, expressing hope to initiate a collaborative effort to build a new Lebanon.
