Fisherman catches dolphin in Gaza, cooks it amid food shortages
A dolphin was found in a Gazan fisherman’s net yesterday, Saturday, in south Gaza, near Khan Younis, which was later cooked and distributed as food to residents of the area; amid the ongoing exhausted food supplies in the Strip.

The fisherman, who spoke to Hebrew Channel 12, said that he would usually release the dolphin back into the water, but due to food shortages, they were forced to eat the dolphin.
Palestinian Journalists in Gaza also confirmed the news, sharing a photo of the fisherman manhandling the staggering dolphin all by himself with kids following him around.
The report added that the residents of Khan Younis were placed in a dilemma on what to do with the dolphin, with some saying: “We don't have food, we'll eat what's there."
The dolphin was caught in the sea off the beach of the town of Al Qarara located north of Khan Younis in south Gaza.
