Youssef and Hamza Al-Ziadana
"Israeli" forces report finding remains of two captives in Rafah tunnel
On Friday, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced the discovery of the bodies of Youssef and Hamza Al-Ziadana inside a tunnel in Rafah, southern Gaza, during recent joint military operations with the Shin Bet security service.
In a statement, the IOF reported that after completing the identification process at the forensic institute and the Israeli Occupation police, the Ziadana family was informed this morning about the death of their son Hamza, who had been detained in Gaza. The evidence found had raised significant concerns about his fate prior to the recovery of his body.
Meanwhile, families of prisoners held in Gaza expressed their frustration, indicating that delays in reaching a prisoner exchange agreement could have allowed for the return of Youssef and Hamza alive. They urged "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to expedite negotiations for the immediate return of all abductees.
These developments follow the burial of Hamza's father, who was also reported killed during recent events in Gaza, amid conflicting statements between the IOF and "Israeli" Security Minister Israel Katz regarding the details of the incident.
